The Chef King Digital Induction Hob is suitable for pans up to 26cm, but for optimum results we recommend a pan size of 12-22cm. If using pans over 22cm, a weight of less than 20kg is required

The current generates heat to any magnetic cookware which is on the hob plate. It will NOT work without a pan on the hob. Only cookware that has a thermocore base will work with induction. Glass pans will not! Try the fridge magnet test on your favourite pans, they must be magnetic to work on this hob. If the magnet works, the pan will too.
This induction hob is lightweight and portable so can be carried almost anywhere. With induction, its the pan that gets hot and very little heat transfers to the hob, so its safe, easy to use and ideal to move around as there is no long waiting period for the hob to cool down.
